Global Trends in Manufacturing

The industrial world is changing rapidly – our members have access to regularly updated information on global manufacturing trends. We compile overviews and analyses that reflect changes in supply chains, automation, workforce needs, green technologies, and the digitalisation of production.

The resources include reports, visual trend maps, and short analyses that help manufacturing company owners understand where the world is heading and how to adapt their business accordingly. The focus is on practical applications: which technologies have proven themselves, in which regions manufacturing is growing, and how geopolitical changes affect raw material prices and supply logistics.

We do not present information in a dry way – we interpret it and link it to the real opportunities and challenges in Estonia and the surrounding region. We help members keep up with the times and make informed decisions.

Global Trends in AI

Artificial intelligence (AI) plays an increasingly important role in developing production processes, quality control, maintenance forecasting, and decision support. Our association monitors and shares international developments related to the use of AI in industry.

We compile overviews, case studies, and expert analyses of how leading manufacturers around the world are applying AI. We share practical information with members: which platforms are the most suitable, which areas benefit most from AI, when it makes sense to invest, and how to assess risks.

As resources, we provide collections of articles, podcasts, and interactive tools that help members better understand which technologies are ready for industrial use and which still need time. Our goal is to make AI accessible also to smaller manufacturers and to support smart, cost-effective development.

Books

The best decisions are made on the basis of knowledge. That is why a selection of recommended books has been compiled that focus on industrial management, strategy, production process optimisation, export, and innovation. Our reading recommendations are based on internationally recognised authorities in the field and are aimed primarily at company leaders and owners.

We recommend books that provide concrete tools and examples – whether the topic is the LEAN mindset, supply chain strategy, or sustainable manufacturing. In addition to the classics, we keep an eye on new business literature, which we introduce to members together with short summaries and practical suggestions.

The book presentations are available on our members’ platform, where it is possible to see other members’ opinions and share one’s own experiences. A good book can transform the mindset of an entire company – we help to set that journey in motion.
